Police Report: CBPD

  1. Police were called to Ogden Avenue for a report of a strange bird in a backyard. Police called for animal control, and were able to capture the golden pheasant. It is unknown how the bird made it to this area. The bird is being held by animal control.
  2. Police were called to a business on Nichols Street for an automatic alarm. The building was checked and found to be secured.
  3. Police responded to a 911 hang up call. Was found to be a small child playing with a phone.
  4. Police are investigating a report of stolen medication on Leavy Avenue.
  5. Police arrested Stephen Shoffner, 28-years-old from the Clearfield and Philipsburg area, for 22 counts of bad checks and theft by deception. Shoffner was located by Decatur Township police and taken into custody. Shoffner was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Richard Ireland. Bail was set at $5000.00.
