Fugitive Surrenders to Authorities
CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced the capture of a wanted fugitive.
Shaw identified the Fugitive as Holly Wolf, age 23, of DuBois.
Wolf was added to the Clearfield County Fugitive of the Week list on May 21, 2012.
On Nov. 14, 2011, Officer Josh Johnston of the Sandy Township Police Department, filed a criminal complaint charging Wolf with: 1) acquisition of a controlled substance by fraud, forgery or deception, F, 2 counts; 2) possession of a controlled substance, M, 2 counts; and 3) theft by deception, M3, 2 counts.
An affidavit of probable cause filed by Johnston states that in March 2011, the Sandy Township Police Department received a report of two instances of fraudulent acquisition of controlled substances from a pharmacy in Sandy Township. Upon investigation it was found that on two occasions Wolf has used a fictitious name to obtain prescriptions that had been prescribed to another person.
A preliminary hearing was held on Dec. 16, 2011, at which time all charges were held to court. On May 17, 2012, Wolf failed to appear for criminal call and a warrant was issued for her arrest.
Shaw stated that on May 21, 2012, Wolf voluntarily surrendered herself to Officers from the DuBois City Police Department. Wolf is currently lodged in the Clearfield County jail.
Shaw thanked the DuBois City Police Department for their assistance with this case.

This program has been a joke since it was created, and was only created to get an embattled district attorney some free publicity. “Criminal call” is a Clearfield County creation to speed up the process between charges being filed and the trial date. These people haven’t been proven guilty of anything, and even if they these teenagers are at worst guilty of a petty crime that doesn’t deserve the resources being thrown at them. Serious crime continues to be on the rise, but don’t worry we will have everyone that bounces a 50 dollar check behind bars.
Perhaps the best proof that this program is a joke was evidenced by the time Shaw posted an individual as fugitive of the week that had been dead for three months. Shaw thanked the coroner for his assistance with the case.
