Police Investigating Theft from Stone Quarry

JAY TOWNSHIP – The state police in Ridgway are asking for the public’s help in locating suspects in thefts from a stone quarry.

According to police, someone stole a number of items from Red Hill Stone Quarry, off of state Route 255. Police said the suspect(s) forced entry through the front door of an office trailer. Once inside, they removed 18 spools of 16 AWG red, plastic-coated copper wire, as well as two hand-pumps from 55 gallon drums outside of the trailer. The suspect(s) then fled the scene.
