Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Queen Elizabeth II’s underwear is now for auction on eBay until May 22.
The royal panties have been in possession of Baron Joseph “Sepy” de Bicske Dobronyi for around 40years. Dobronyi who died in 2010, was an “aristocrat, sculptor, photographer, royal jewelry designer, art collector, world traveler, sportsman and bon vivant,” according to the eBay advertisement.
The vintage garment of embroidered silk, which has the monogram “E” in it, has not been authenticated by the Buckingham Palace. They were said to have come from the relatives of Dobronyi’s pilot friend, who flew the plane that carried the HM Queen Elizabeth II during her first trip to Chile in 1968.
The undergarments were supposed to be auctioned off in 2010 but it did not push through due to some issues between the Dobronyi estate and the Hansons Auctioneers, the auction house who also sold Queen Victoria’s underclothing in 2008.
To date, there are two bids for the price of $ 4,049.00.
