Spurs finish off Jazz, move on to second-round of playoffs

Salt Lake City, UT, United States (AHN Sports) – Manu Ginobili scored 17 points and three of his teammates netted 11, lifting the San Antonio Spurs to an 87-81 win over the Utah Jazz Monday night.

Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Gary Neal added 11 for the Spurs, who swept the Jazz 4-0 in the best-of-seven playoff opening-round series.

The Spurs, who posted 50 wins in the strike-shortened season, clamped down on the Jazz in building a 50-42 halftime lead and holding Utah to just 16 points in the third quarter.

San Antonio drained 10 of 22 treys, helping overcome just 38 percent field goal shooting overall and 21 of 30 free throws.

Al Jefferson scored 26 points, while Devin Harris added 19 for the Jazz.
