New York, NY, United States (4E) – Marchesa, the high-end women’s fashion line, confirmed Monday that it will launch a new less-expensive contemporary line.
Co-founder Keren Craig said that they have always wanted the line to be a lifestyle brand and have found the right people to do it with, at just the right time.
Through a partnership with LF USA, the brand that launched thousand-dollar red carpet gowns is on its way to fulfilling its vision to reach out to people from different lifestyles with its new pieces to range from $150 to $750.
The new contemporary line, which is set to be launched in 2013, is yet to be named. Designer and founder Georgina Chapman said that the line will be under the Marchesa umbrella, though with a different feel. She said they want to expand the line’s target consumers while keeping their present patrons as well.
Marchesa, which produces a Couture collection, also has a dress collection named Notte under its wing.
