LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP – A 49-year-old Corry man suffered moderate injuries and was transported to the Clearfield Hospital after a tractor-trailer accident at 2:25 p.m. Friday at the on-ramp for Interstate 80 westbound at mile marker 120 in Lawrence Township.

The Clearfield-based state police identified the accident victim as James E. Saunders, 49, of Corry. He was wearing his seat belt at the time of the accident.

Saunders was traveling southbound on state Route 879 and attempted a right-hand turn onto the westbound on-ramp for I-80. At that point, his tractor-trailer flipped over onto its left side along the left-hand side of the on-ramp.
