Copper Stolen from Cell Phone Tower in Halfmoon Township

HALFMOON TOWNSHIP – The Philipsburg-based state police is investigating an incident of theft and criminal trespass that occurred sometime between May 1 and Saturday at a cellular phone tower on Tammenend Road in Halfmoon Township.

AT&T of Harrisburg reported to the state police that a person(s) had entered an enclosed cellular phone tower. The person(s) removed two, 2-foot long copper grounding bars and four, 7-foot long copper grounding wires from the tower.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Philipsburg-based state police at 814-342-3370.
