New York City, NY, United States (AHN) – While eco-friendly clothing is not new by any means, it is becoming increasingly popular and all the rage.

Clothing designers have embraced the “save the world” campaign and a vast array of items made from abandoned, recycled and repurposed materials can be found on store shelves and catalogues.

From jackets to hoodies to T-shirts to shoes, environmentally conscious fashion designers have launched an eclectic line.

Using the world’s pre-consumer excess, most pieces are ecological all the way down to their buttons and threads.

Most of the pieces are unique, one-of-a-kind and limited so they are sure to make a fashion statement.

Unlike traditional apparel manufactures, eco-friendly wear is produced from leftover materials. Many are hand numbered, making them a collectible piece and a great gift

Online sites offering sustainable clothing have exploded of late. A few popular sites include www.thegreenloop.com; www.ecofriendlyworld.com . and www.nau.com
