School Board Accepts Principal’s Resignation

CLEARFIELD – On Monday the Clearfield Area School District Board of Directors accepted the resignation of one of the district’s administration.

The board accepted the resignation of Kevin Wallace, who had been serving as the high school’s  principal. In March, members of the public contacted Gant stating that Wallace was no longer at the high school. That was never confirmed. Under law, elected bodies/officials are not required to discuss personnel matters in a public forum. They are, however, required to vote on actions concerning personnel, such as hiring, firing or salary increases.

On Monday, the board did just that. Wallace’s resignation was effective April 16, 2012. Abstaining from voting was board member Jennifer Wallace.
