SCI Rockview Reports Inmate Death

BELLEFONTE – Superintendent Marirosa Lamas has reported the death of an inmate at the State Correctional Institution at Rockview.
John Carter, 32, was found unresponsive in his cell by corrections officers and medical staff at approximately 9:45 p.m., Thursday. The inmate was transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
The Pennsylvania State Police has been notified.
Carter was serving a life sentence for second-degree murder from Allegheny County.
