San Antonio, TX, United States (AHN Sports) – Tony Parker poured in 28 points and Tim Duncan added 17 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as the San Antonio Spurs overpowered the Utah Jazz 106-91 in a playoff opener.

San Antonio has won 11 straight games and was never threatened in Sunday’s tilt, draining three treys late in the third quarter to start to pull away.

Paul Millsap led the Jazz with 20 points, while Gordon Hayward added 17 and Al Jefferson chipped in with 16.

The Jazz trailed 54-47 at the break and couldn’t really chip into the Spurs advantage.

Game two is Wednesday in San Antonio. The Jazz is just 1-4 vs. the Spurs this season, so climbing back into the series will be a chore for Utah.
