Cleveland, OH, United States (AHN Sports) – The Cleveland Browns are obviously high on Oklahoma State quarterback Brandon Sneeden, whom they selected late in the first round of Thursday’s NFL draft.
It also means the team could scuttle Colt McCoy, who is just 6-15 as the Browns starting signal-caller.
“I wasn’t concerned about his age,” Browns coach Pat Shurmur told the Cleveland Plain-Dealer. “I was impressed with his maturity and production on tape. We became very fond of him.”
As far as possibly dealing incumbent starter Colt McCoy, he added, “It’s something we’ll talk about tonight and tomorrow.”
Sneeden tossed 37 touchdowns to 13 interceptions for the Cowboys last season. McCoy failed to throw for 3,000 yards and had just 14 touchdown passed to 11 interceptions.
