April 23, 2012 at 10:11 AM by · Leave a Comment

A winter storm warning remains in effect for western Pennsylvania, including counties in the 6 News viewing area.

The warning is in effect until noon on Tuesday for areas including Jefferson, Indiana, Elk, Cameron, Clearfield, Cambria, Somerset and northern Centre counties are under the warning.

Forecasters say the storm warning means accumulations of 4-8 inches of snow are likely, combined with high winds could cause tree limbs and power lines to fall. There is a potential of up to a foot of snow.

Most of the remaining 6 News viewing area is under a winter storm watch.
