NY, NY, United States (AHN Sports) – MLB has fined and suspended Cleveland Indians pitcher Jeanmar Gomez five games, concluding he intentionally threw at Royals’ Mike Moustakas last weekend.
Unless he appeals, the suspension will begin Wednesday.
The incident took place in the third inning of Cleveland’s 11-9, 10-inning win at Kansas City Saturday.
Both benches cleared as Kansas City’s Jonathan Sanchez hit Cleveland’s Shin-Soo Choo in the top half of the frame.
