NY, NY, United States (AHN Sports) – Johan Santana is understandably the first pitcher one thinks about when it comes to the Mets pitching staff.

New York has received some good work from its other hurlers, however, in storming out to a 7-3 start to the season.

Jon Niese and R.A. Dickey are both 2-0 and boast ERA’s just over 2.00.

Santana has been a hard-luck starter, posting an 0-1 mark despite allowing just 7 hits in 10 innings.

He has racked up 13 strikeouts and the star’s ERA is just 0.90 in the young campaign.

The Mets appear to have some power-pitchers, including Dillon Gee who is 1-1 with 12 strikeouts in 12.1 innings. His ERA is also an impressive 2.92.

The Mets also have to be pleasantly surprised with how quickly Frank Francisco has settled in the closer’s role, collecting three saves and not allowing a run in four appearances.

He has fanned seven batters and allowed no walks in a very strong start.
