CLEARFIELD – Parks in Clearfield Borough are getting ready to be prepped for some new park equipment.

On Thursday, the borough Planning and Community Development Committee approved to recommend to full council the purchase of playground equipment. The equipment will include a playground set with instillation, swings and seating, engineered wood fiber for Kurtz Park and three benches for Upper Witmer Park.

The price of the equipment from Bitting Recreation is $32,559.34 and will be purchased with Community Development Block Grant Funding.

Street Department head Steve Biancuzzo said his crew will begin prepping Kurtz Park next week for the new playground equipment.
