Cleveland, OH, United States (AHN Sports) – The Cleveland Indians offense, hitting well below .200 on the season, has been a major reason for the team’s woeful 1-4 start.

Hoping to provide a jolt, the team has reportedly signed veteran outfielder Johnny Damon according to ESPN.

It would be the fourth different team in four years for Damon, who is just 277 hits shy of 3,000..

Damon has also played for Kansas City, Oakland, Boston, the Yankees, Detroit and Tampa Bay and is known as a gritty but classy veteran.

He batted 261 with 16 home runs and 73 RBIs in 150 games last season with the Rays.
