WJACTV.COM: Jeff Tech Evacuated After Social Media Threat

A threat made via a social media outlet prompted the evacuation of a Jefferson County vo-tech school Tuesday morning.

According to Gant news partner WJACTV.com, the Jefferson County-DuBois Area Vocational-Technical School was evacuated around 9 a.m.

There are no reports of any injuries and officials said no students are in danger.

All Jeff Tech students were evacuated safely to C.G. Johnson Elementary School in Reynoldsville, where officials said they will remain until the incident is resolved.

According to a news release from the Pennsylvania State Police, troopers are investigating a threat made over a social media outlet implying that firearms and explosives would be used against students on or around Feb. 28.
