Los Angeles, CA, United States (AHN) – Beatles Ringo Starr, George Harrison and John Lennon have one, and finally, fellow Beatle and music icon Paul McCartney will also get one.
On Thursday, McCartney will finally get his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in front of the historic Capital Records building.
Guests expected to be at the 2 p.m. ceremony are Eric Clapton and Stevie Wonder.
McCartney’s business schedule and travel have kept him from getting the star alongside his bandmates.
McCartney’s star will be the 2,460th star on the famous walk.
Lennon was the first Beatle to receive a star, on Sept. 20, 1988, nearly eight years after his death. Harrison’s star was also posthumously awarded, on April 14, 2009, also nearly eight years after his death.
Ringo Star got the honor on Feb. 8, 2010, to coincide with the Walk’s 50th anniversary of its groundbreaking.
As a group, The Beatles received a star on the famed walk at 7080 Hollywood Blvd on Dec. 25, 1998.
