Born Dec. 22, 1922 in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of John Joseph and Mary Ann (Winters) Buck. She was retired from McNeill Laboratories having worked in the Shipping Department. She was a member of the Hyde Wesleyan Church.
Surviving are 2 children Mary Ann Jardine and husband Thomas of Perkasie, PA and James Taylor and wife Rita of Curwensville. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Joseph Buck, Dorothy Sharkey and husband Charles and Anna Mae Ferguson all of New Jersey and Robert Buck and wife Jenny of Orland, PA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband James M. Taylor, her second husband Robert Johnston, and her third husband Richard Ayers, an infant sister, 3 sisters Florence “Flossie” Evans, Elizabeth “Betty” Bennett and Jeannie Quaile and a half sister Mamie Kelly.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Ayers will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville, on Feb. 4 at 1:00 p.m., with the Reverend Robert Croft officiating. Interment will be in the Fruit Hill Cemetery, New Millport, PA.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday February 3 from 6 to 9 p.m., and Saturday from 12:00 Noon until time of services.
The family suggests contributions be made to the Hyde Wesleyan Church Benevolent Fund 1215 Riverview Road Clearfield, PA 16830.
