Kersey Man Charged in Simple Assault, Harassment Incident

FOX TOWNSHIP – A 29-year-old Kersey man is facing simple assault, harassment, reckless endangering and related charges following an incident at 10:40 p.m. Friday along Gahr and Sheely roads in Fox Township, the Ridgway-based state police reported.

According to the incident report, the accused had engaged in a verbal argument with a 34-year-old St. Marys woman. He attempted to leave in a 2008 Jeep owned by an 82-year-old St. Marys man.

The accused is allegedly to have intentionally rammed the Jeep in the rear several times with a 1985 F-150. The Jeep subsequently entered the Fox Township Ambulance parking lot.

The St. Marys woman and a 14-year-old St. Marys girl who were inside it fled on state Route 948 and contacted the state police.
