DuBois Neighborhood Group to Meet

DUBOIS – The DuBois Neighborhood Group will be meeting Jan. 24 at 7 p.m. in the Martin’s Community Room.  All concerned folks should attend to learn what the group is doing, how they are doing it and how they can help the effort.  The group has already organized a large-item clean-up, hosted speakers to update the group on upcoming state programs, sponsored a Christmas Decorating contest (three great winners!) and invited the City Police to speak about neighborhood cooperation.  Upcoming events are a Historic Homes “FOR SALE” Open House in mid-May to highlight the unique housing stock in downtown DuBois, a Curb Appeal contest to culminate in mid-July and a historic home preservation/restoration workshop in the fall.  Questions, please call 591-2570.  All are invited to participate.
