Milesburg Woman Killed in Accident

BENNEZETTE TOWNSHIP – A 24-year-old Milesburg woman was killed in a single-vehicle accident at 7:30 a.m. Saturday along the Quehanna Highway near Grant Run Road in Bennezette Township, Elk County. The Ridgway-based state police identified the victim as Tearany Lucas, 24, of Milesburg.

According to the report, the Lucas vehicle was traveling westbound when it failed to negotiate a left-hand curve in the roadway. Her vehicle traveled off the roadway, entering grass along the westbound berm. It returned to the roadway and across the westbound lane before crossing the centerline slightly and redirecting back toward the westbound lane.

State police said that while facing a northwest direction, the Lucas vehicle overturned onto the driver’s side and continued westbound, overturning multiple times. Still overturned, her vehicle continued westbound and slid on its roof and front hood. It came to a final rest within the westbound lane, facing west.
