Clearfield Girl’s Tennis Team Back in Action

TYRONE — After being off from regular season play, due to the weather and the District 9 single’s championship, since September 22, the Clearfield Girl’s tennis team returned to action on Tuesday when they traveled to Tyrone for a Mountain League match.

Tyrone swept the Lady Bisons 7-0 to drop Clearfield to 0-10 on the season.

1. Yesh Patel lost to Emily Tompkins in straight sets 3-6, 1-6.
2. Rachael Johnson lost to Ana Holland in straight sets 0-6, 0-6.
3. Jen Grenus lost to Keturah Weaver in straight sets 0-6, 1-6.
4. Rayanna Kavelak lost to Maria Aquadro in straight sets 0-6, 1-6.
5. Jen Grenus lost to Olivia Gailey in straight sets 4-6, 4-6.
 
1. Rachael Johnson and Raynna Kavelak lost to Emily Brokenshire and Kelly Moore in a proset match 1-8.
2. Emily Ramsey and Abbi Welker lost to Lindsey Bonsell and Shannon Gearhart in a proset match 2-8.

Clearfield’s final match of the year is scheduled for Wednesday when they travel to Huntingdon.
