San Diego police officer shot, seriously wounded

San Diego, CA, United States (AHN) – A San Diego police officer was shot in the head Saturday by a gunman who may have been involved in a violent fast food restaurant robbery earlier in the day.

Police shot and possibly killed one of the gunmen. Another suspect exchanged fire with police before barricading himself in a nearby apartment complex.

The suspects were in a black Audi when the officer was hit with a shotgun blast. He was taken to a nearby hospital, but it is unclear what his condition is.

Local media reports that the suspect may have robbed an In-N-Out Burger restaurant in the nearby area of El Cajon.
