Toronto, ON, Canada (AHN Sports) – While the 2011 NFL season remains up in the air due to the current lockout, Canada is seizing the opportunity to push for and NFL team in Toronto.

Los Angeles seems to be first line, however, and Toronto still has no plans for an NFL-ready stadium .

Meanwhile, in L.A., investors and the like are scrambling to lure a team like the Jaguars from Jacksonville or even recent Super Bowl winners the Saints from their legendary home in New Orleans.

“Toronto is ‘right up there on the list’ of cities awaiting NFL teams,” Toronto councillor Doug Ford told SI.com after speaking with NFL officials.

“They have to take care of the problem in Los Angeles first,” Ford continued.

Among other teams that may be relocating include the Carolina Panthers, St. Louis Rams, Buffalo Bills and San Diego Chargers.
