Los Angeles, CA, United States (AHN Entertainment) – James Frey is set to return to the “Oprah Winfrey Show,” five years after he appeared on the show and received a very public scolding from Oprah herself over fabricating the details of his memoir, “A Million Little Pieces.”

Frey will appear on Oprah’s show to talk about what’s happened in the years since the Oprah scandal. He’ll also discuss his controversial new book, “The Final Testament of the Holy Bible,” which hits stores Friday.

“The Final Testament of the Holy Bible” follows a Jesus-like figure, Ben Jones, who’s resurrected in modern day New York City, who drinks, smokes marijuana, and gets a prostitute pregnant.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the episode will air sometime in May. The last episode of Winfrey’s show is set to air May 25.

Back in 2006, Oprah chose to feature “A Million Little Pieces” on her show which, naturally, turned it into a best-seller. But later, details about inaccuracies and lies in the book began to surface (like the fact that he only spent hours in jail instead of 87 days as the book says), which even led Oprah to call into Larry King’s show and defend him.

Afterward, Oprah confronted him on the show and basically called him a liar. She has since apologized to Frey for the televised shaming, saying her reaction was mostly because she felt personally betrayed.
