Roller coaster gets stuck at Florida fair

Miami, FL, United States (AHN) – Seven people had to be rescued from a roller coaster at a county fair in Miami in Friday.

The ride got stuck after one of the coaster cars fell back and hit the one behind it, according to local television station WSVN Channel 7.

Local media reported that it took Miami-Dade Fire Rescue members one hour to safely evacuate the passengers from The Avalanche roller coaster.

One of the cars got stuck close to the ground, and its passengers were able to exit without help from firefighters.

One passenger was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.

The ride was inspected and determined to be safe and reopened.
