CLEARFIELD – On Thursday evening Clearfield Borough Council moved to fill the void left by former police chief Jeff Rhones resignation.
Council approved naming acting-Chief Vince McGinnis the police department’s chief. McGinnis will serve a probationary period. Rhone’s resignation went into effect on Feb. 4.
McGinnis was appointed acting chief in January, with council members Fred Wisor and Jim Kling voting no. On Thursday night, the vote to name McGinnis as chief was unanimous.
