Clearfield JV Football Team Remains Undefeated

October 12, 2010 at 8:12 AM by · 1 Comment

PHILIPSBURG — In a game stopped midway through the second quarter due to hazardous weather, the Clearfield Bison junior varsity football squad remained undefeated on the season.

The Bisons jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the first quarter after Jacob Verchick recovered a fumble and running back Dylan Graham scampered for a 33-yard touchdown run.

Clearfield upped their lead to 14-0 in the second quarter when quarterback Tyler Woomer plunged in from three yards out and Graham ran in a successful 2-point conversion.

The weather delayed, then cancelled,  the game during the second period.

Clearfield (5-0) will host Lewistown on Monday October 18.

Thanks for mentioning JV FB. They are having a great season also and don’t usually get any recognition.
