New York, NY, United States (AHN) – Alabama author Mark Leslie is taking readers through an Italian adventure featuring a love of pasta, Italy and the family and friends he met along the way. “Beyond the Pasta: Recipes, Language & Family with an Italian Family” was inspired after a trip to Italy in 2001 left Leslie longing to return to the country.
His new book features his return to Viterbo, Italy in 2005 and his day-to-day journal as he introduces readers to his kind-hearted, generous, and often time’s dramatic Italian family.
Mark paints a perfect picture for readers with a colorful description, penning his journal as he immerses himself in a life of food, cooking and learning a new language while living and studying with his teachers. A charming Italian grandmother Nonna helped Mark learn to cook the authentic recipes, while her daughter Alessanda taught Mark the language.
Readers will also be treated to 29 authentic Italian recipes shared by Nonna, along with pictures of the sights in Italy, food, and the awesome people he encountered along the way.
Mark Leslie’s “Beyond the Pasta: Recipes, Language & Life with an Italian Family” hits stores in September.
