Clearfield Volleyball Squad Drops Opener to BEA

CLEARFIELD — The Clearfield girl’s volleyball team opened up its 2010 campaign under new Head Coach Sarah Fye with a three set to zero loss to Bald Eagle Area. The Bisons (0-1) will host Huntingdon on Thursday September 9 in league action.

The scores were 25-11, 25-11, and 25-12.

Stat leaders for Clearfield were – Service points: Dakota Farmery – 3, Michelle Payonk – 2, Jordan Puit – 2, Kristen Henderlong – 1; Aces: Payonk – 1; Kills: Farmery – 3, Payonk – 1; Blocks: Farmery -2, Adrienne Stucke – 2, Becca Kephart – 1, Amber Scott – 1.

The Clearfield junior varsity won their match in two sets.
