Las Vegas, NV, United States (AHN) – A man walked into a Las Vegas casino wearing what looked like an explosives belt Saturday morning, prompting security to evacuate the building and a nearby RV park.

According to local media, the man approached security officers, lifted his shirt to reveal the belt and told them they had five minutes to get everyone out of the building.

The security guards at the hotel and casino, Arizona Charlie’s, convinced the man to go outside, but he did not leave the property.

Police, including a bomb squad and SWAT team, responded to the scene, a local CBS News affiliate reported.

Police officers removed the device, which turned out to be not real, from the man without a struggle.

Police told reporters they believe the man wanted officers to shoot him.
