UPS Plane Crashes In Dubai Killing 2

Dubai, United Arab Emirates (AHN) – A UPS 747-700 cargo plane crashed Friday shortly after it took off from the airport in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, killing the two crew members on board, the company reported.

UPS said the flight was bound for Cologne, Germany.

“We are doing our best to learn exactly what happened. This is a terrible tragedy and all of us at UPS extend our deepest sympathies to the families and friends of the victims,” UPS chairman and CEO Scott Davis said in a statement posted on the company’s website.

UPS is cooperating with government authorities on the scene and has dispatched its own investigation team to assist.
