Los Angeles, CA, United States (AHN) – “Don’t Forget the Lyrics!” is returning to television with a new season and a new host. Sugar Ray lead singer Mark McGrath will be adding a new flavor to the upcoming season.
Viewers will once again watch ordinary people battle it out for a chance to win a fortune. The musical game show tests contestants’ knowledge of song lyrics from different genres, decades and artists.
The show previously aired on FOX and was hosted by Wayne Brady. In the new version, contestants will have a chance to win $50,000 as opposed to the previous $1 million. It will also follow the format of the Twentieth Television game show “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?” which stills runs on FOX.
The new syndicated version and fourth full season of “Don’t Forget the Lyrics!” will premiere on Monday, September 20 at 7 pm ET on VH1.
