Los Angeles, CA, United States (AHN) – With the second season finale of “Drop Dead Diva” airing next week, the TV rumor mill is using words like “shocking” to describe what happens at the end of the special two-hour event. Jackson Hurst, who plays Grayson Kent on the show, promises fans that it’ll “blow your mind.”
“There are some definitely some shockers,” Jackson Hurst told AHN about the upcoming finale. “The last five minutes are going to blow your mind.”
For those who need a recap, Grayson has been mourning the loss of his fiancée Deb, who died in a car accident, but who is actually now in his co-worker Jane’s body, played by Brooke Elliot.
“Last year, you saw Greyson just trying to keep his head above water,” Hurst said. “This year, he’s using his grief as a survival tactic. I think he was just making his way this season.
In the last episode, Grayson and Jane teamed up for a case about a man who dresses as a clown, impressively played by “7th Heaven” star Barry Watson, to grieve his wife who also died in a car accident.
With Grayson and Jane taking on another case involving a woman who wants to be cryogenically frozen, Grayson is conjuring up some past feelings about his former flame while also seeing a new side of Jane.
“Jane and Greyson are definitely getting closer,” Hurst says, without revealing too much.
The season two finale of “Drop Dead Diva” airs on Lifetime Sunday, August 29th beginning at 9pm ET/PT.
