Los Angeles, CA, United States (AHN) – The fear of pitting two potential horror blockbusters became too intense for the movie studios behind the upcoming “Paranormal Activity 2″ and “Saw 3-D” films. Now, the two horror sequels will no longer share victims on opening weekend.
Both originally slated for October 22 nd , “Paranormal Activity 2″ will remain in that slot while “Saw 3-D” will now move closer to Halloween. The seventh installment in the horror franchise will now bow on October 29 th .
The series will also bow out on that date. According to producers, it’s the last we’ll see of “Saw.” Last year’s disappointing box-office for “Saw VI,” which only took in $28 million, may have put the final nail in the coffin.
But with its new release date and bigger box-office due to 3-D, it might not be the final cut for “Saw” after all.
