Los Angeles, CA, United States (AHN) – With “Glee” entering its second season, the cast and creator Ryan Murphy’s appearance at the San Diego Comic-Con let out a slew of spoilers, some even surprising the cast members themselves. Among the new details learned about the upcoming new episodes is an episode inspired by “Rocky Horror Picture Show,” a second tribute to Madonna, and a “hallucinogenic” Britney Spears episode.
“Glee” returns to Fox on September 21st and there’s plans for some very special episodes. On September 28th, the cast is set to perform up to six Britney Spears songs on an episode Murphy revealed would be done in a “very fun, hallucinogenic way.” The show’s own Brittany, played by Heather Morris, will perform one of the hits herself.
Surely around Halloween, the cast of “Glee” will do “The Time Warp” when they perform cuts from the “Rocky Horror picture Show.” Chris Colfer’s Kurt as Frank-N-Furter? Sign us up. Kurt also gets a boyfriend during this second season and Murphy reveals they could possibly win prom king and king.
Also on the horizon is a second tribute to Madonna. Following the success of “The Power of Madonna,” which scored its own #1 EP, a follow-up is planned for some time in the future. “Madonna was thrilled with the episode,” Murphy said. “We don’t know when we’re doing [a second one] but we will at some point do it.”
Also planned for “Glee” is a special post-Super Bowl episode. It’ll be a tribute as well, but to who exactly has yet to be revealed. Producers are still negotiating a deal but rumors have included, among others, Michael Jackson.
