Evian-les-Bains, France (AHN) – Brittany Lincicome started it Saturday, Morgan Pressel continued it and as a result “it” put three American golfers in contention at the Evian Masters tournament.

“It’ was a major charge by Lincicome, Pressel and Lexi Thompson. Pressel eagled the final hole of the day for a five-under par 67 at the Evian Masters Golf Club and will take a two-shot lead into play Sunday.

Pressel’s round was capped off by the eagle but she had momentum down the stretch with birdies at 13 and 14.

She is two shots in front of Jiyai Shin and Jeong Jang who are tied at nine-under, 207. Shin shot 68, Jang a 70.

Lincicome’s round tied for low effort of the week. She eagled the par four 16th with a hybrid tee shot then a gap wedge from the light rough that took one hop on the green and bounced into the hole for a deuce.

She then added a birdie at 17 for a 31 on the back nine.

Lincicome will start the final round three back of the leader, Pressel. She’s tied at eight-under 208 with fellow American Lexi Thompson.

Thompson had her best round of the tournament with a 67.

Second round leader Mika Miyazato shot a two-over par 74 and is one of four players at four shots back at 209.
