Eminem And Rihanna Hit #1 On Billboard Hot 100 With "Love The Way You Lie"

Los Angeles, CA, United States (AHN) – Eminem and Rihanna were finally able to overtake Katy Perry’s six week reign atop the Billboard Hot 100 chart with “Love the Way You Lie” climbing into the #1 spot this week. “Love the Way You Lie” earns Eminem his fourth #1 on the Hot 100 chart, following “Lose Yourself,” “Crack a Bottle,” and “Not Afraid.” With “Not Afraid,” he also earns his first back-to-back #1’s and his first chart-toppers from a single album.

Rihanna also makes her seventh appearance at #1 with this single. She last topped the chart with “Rude Boy” earlier this year. She also has more #1’s than any other artist since she hit the scene in 2006. The single “Love the Way You Lie” also tops the Hot Digital Songs this week by selling 352,000 copies, its biggest tally yet. It also crosses the 1 million digital sales mark.

Following at #2 is Katy Perry and Snoop Dogg with “California Gurls,” which spent six weeks at #1. It was just a week shy from matching Perry’s longest streak at #1 with “I Kissed a Girl” at seven weeks. B.o.B. and Hayley Williams follow at #3 for another week with “Airplanes.”

Taio Cruz earns his second Top 5 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 with “Dynamite,” climbing into #4 this week. It follows his #1 hit “Break Your Heart” with Ludacris. Dropping down a spot to #5 is Usher with “OMG,” featuring will.i.am.

Mike Posner climbs up to #6 this week with his single, “Cooler Than Me,” which also crosses the 1 million sales mark this week. Dropping down to #7 are Travie McCoy and Bruno Mars with “Billionaire.” Enrique Iglesias and Pitbull hold the #8 spot for a second week with “I Like It.”

Remaining unmoved from last week are Drake with “Find Your Love” at #9 and Jason Derulo with “Ridin’ Solo” at #10, closing out the top 10 singles for this week.
