U.S. Assistant Secretary Blake To Visit Sri Lanka, Maldives

Washington, DC, United States (AHN) – U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Robert O. Blake will visit to Sri Lanka and the Maldives July 21-22 this year, an official announcement said on Monday.

Mr. Blake will travel to Colombo, Sir Lankan on July 21 and Male, the Maldives on July 22 this year. This is his first visit to the Maldives as Assistant Secretary.

In Sri Lanka, the assistant secretary will have consultations with the Sri Lankan government, political parties, business leaders and civil society.

In the Maldives, he will meet government officials, opposition parties, civil society representatives, anti-trafficking activists, and religious leaders.
