Officer David Curtis, 31, died at the hospital after being put on life support. His family plans to donate his organs.

Kocab, who had been with the police force for 14 months, is survived by his wife who is nine months’ pregnant.

Curtis leaves behind a wife and four sons. He had been with the department for nearly four years.
