London, England, United Kingdom (AHN) – Andrew Lloyd Webber, the man behind internationally famed productions such as “The Phantom of the Opera,” is set to transport audiences to Oz for his upcoming West End adaptation of “The Wizard of Oz.” It’s also set to be the hottest ticket in London theatre for 2011.

Tickets are already on sale for Lloyd Webber’s “Wizard of Oz” and it’s already predicted to be the biggest-selling show next year. The show won’t premiere until April 26th, 2011 at the London Palladium.

While “Wicked” became an international phenomenon, “The Wizard of Oz” is a new re-telling of the traditional fairytale, featuring Dorothy, her friends the Tin Man, the Cowardly Lion and the Scarecrow, as well as her dog Toto.

The new version of “Oz” has already garnered major interest thanks to a hit reality show from Lloyd Webber and host Graham Norton. The BBC show, “Over the Rainbow,” chronicled the search for the new stage production’s Dorothy. The winner was a teenager named Dorothy Hope.

“Over The Rainbow” followed the success of Lloyd Webber’s previous talent searches, “How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria?,” “Any Dream Will Do” and “I’d Do Anything.”
