Cammalleri Nets Pair As Canadiens Knot Series With Pens 1-1

Pittsburgh, PA, United States (AHN) – Michael Cammalleri scored power play goals in the second and third periods, and goalie Jaroslav Halak knocked down 38 of 39 shots as the pesky Montreal Canadiens topped the Pittsburgh Penguins 3-1 Sunday.
The Habs win leveled the the Eastern Conference semifinal series at one game each, giving Montreal home ice advantage when the matchup heads back to Montreal Tuesday.
The Canadiens kept their wits despite Matt Cooke’s goal just 4:38 in that gave the Pens a 1-0 lead.
Montreal was also utterly dominated in the second and third periods, getting off just nine shots to 30 for Pittsburgh.
The big-two for Pittsburgh was relatively quiet, however, as Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin combined for just four shots on goal.
Crosby was also a miserable -2 on the afternoon in his 24:30 of ice time.
Scott Gomez was terrific for the Habs, picking up a pair of assists and nearly scoring on a tuck-in attempt.
Another former Devil, Brian Gionta, knotted up the contest at 1-1 with his tally with 4:12 remaining in the first period.
