DUBOIS – The Downtown DuBois Revitalization Group is hosting the 7th Annual Community Spring Clean-Up on April 10 from 9 a.m. – noon. The Clean-up starts at the DuBois City Park, where registered groups meet, then go to their clean-up areas. They can either choose an area they’d like to clean or the group will assign one. Everyone meets back at the City Park between 11 am and noon to enjoy a big picnic lunch donated by many area restaurants and merchants. You don’t have to be part of a group to participate in the clean-up. There are many individuals, families, civic clubs, churches and scouts that participate.
Reminder to downtown DuBois businesses and residents: The DuBois City Fire Department will be hosing down the sidewalks again this year all around downtown the night before the cleanup on April 9. Please make sure your vehicles are off the street if possible to make it easier for them. Also, the gravel on the sidewalks needs to be shoveled or scraped up before they can hose the sidewalks off.
Everyone is welcome to attend, but please call ahead to register. It’s a great community event with truckloads of trash being picked up every year in the DuBois/Sandy area. Please call 371-3064 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org to get information or register.
