  • Police reported an incident of theft that occurred on the front lawn of John J. Kovalchick.  Sometime between March 19 and March 20, someone removed a cement black bear from his front lawn in Rush Township.  The bear weights approximately 60 pounds.
  • Police reported a theft that occurred in Philipsburg Borough.  Someone took a baby stroller from the front porch of the residence.  The stroller had three wheels and resembled a jeep and was black.  The stroller is valued at $150.  Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at 342-3370.
  • A “Drive” CD200B amplifier, with a cyber power strip, has been found in the church parking lot at 509E Presquile Street.  The owner can claim the item by contacting the state police in Philipsburg at 342-3370.
  • No injuries were reported in a three-vehicle accident that occurred on state Route 350 and Curtis Street in Rush Township.  Gary Kolbe, 23-years old and from Philipsburg, was stopped on state Route 350 waiting to turn left onto Curtis Street when a 38-year-old Altoona man, traveling south on state Route 350, failed to notice that Kolbe’s 1991 Jeep Cherokee was stopped and hit the rear of the Jeep.  After hitting the Jeep, the 2007 Chrysler Town & Country, driven by the Altoona man went into the other lane of traffic and hit the left side of Jennifer Folmar’s 2008 Nissan Pathfinder.  The Altoona man’s vehicle finally came to a stop in the northbound lane causing it to be closed for approximately 45 minutes.  All drivers and passengers were wearing seatbelts.
