CLEARFIELD – “Congratulations to the Bison Band.” Mayor Jim Schell commended the Clearfield High School Bison Band in their participation and performance in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in New York City. He said they did not know how the band placed but that they did well. Schell said the band was able to see a broadway show and Time Square. He wanted to recognize Mr. Mandell, the band director, his staff, and the chaperones for their effort in getting the band members to the event.
The mayor also said they are in the process of “painting the town purple” in support of Relay for Life, which is May 10-12. Curwensville is also participating in the “paint the town purple” event. There is even a friendly competition between the borough office and the police station to see who can decorate the best in support of Relay for Life.
