Orlando, FL, United States (AHN) – Two pilots and a passenger were killed Saturday when their small planes collided in the air over central Florida.
The single-engine Piper and an experimental aircraft hit each other near the Williston Municipal Airport in Levy County, the Bradenton Herald reported.
The Gainesville Sun reports that the planes’ wreckage was strewn over hundreds of yards of woods and pastures.
One local television station, WFTV, said the experimental plane was attempting to land when it collided with the Piper.
The Federal Aviation Administration is investigation the accident.
