Los Angeles, CA, United States (AHN) – Jordin Sparks spent nearly all of last year touring her latest album, “Battlefield,” while opening up for Britney Spears and the Jonas Brothers. Now she’s setting out on her “Battlefield Tour” solo for a string of Spring dates.

Sparks is set to kick off her tour at the Tropicana Casino and Resort in Atlantic City, NJ on April 24th. She’s then currently set to wrap up at The Grove in Anaheim, CA on May 23rd, just days before the “American Idol” finale which also takes place in the Los Angeles area. Coincidence? For the sixth season winner, I think not.

Sparks is heading out on the road with Sparks is singer/songwriter and actress Kate Voegele. She’ll be performing songs from her albums “Don’t Look Away” and last year’s “A Fine Mess.” Days Difference will also open on select dates.

Sparks released her album “Battlefield” last year, which yielded the hit title track and the dance hit “S.O.S. (Let the Music Play).” She recently filmed a guest spot for Nickelodeon’s “Big Time Rush,” also set to air in the Spring.
